Quiche With Sausage Gravy

Ingredients:

1 pre-made pie crust
4 large eggs
1 cup whole milk
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup cooked breakfast sausage, crumbled
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
Sausage Gravy Ingredients:

1/2 lb breakfast sausage
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups whole milk
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the pie crust in a pie dish and set aside.
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and shredded cheddar cheese. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in the cooked sausage.
Pour the egg mixture into the prepared pie crust.
Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the quiche is set and the top is golden brown. Let it cool slightly before slicing.
While the quiche is baking, prepare the sausage gravy: Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned.
Add flour to the sausage and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Slowly pour in the milk, stirring until the gravy thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve slices of quiche topped with a generous spoonful of warm sausage gravy.
