Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cornstarch
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 eggs, beaten
Vegetable oil (for frying)
1/3 cup honey
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp sesame oil
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
2 tbsp water
1 tbsp cornstarch (for thickening)
Sesame seeds and chopped green onions (for garnish)
Instructions:
Prepare the Chicken:
In a large bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Dip chicken pieces in the beaten eggs, then coat them in the flour mixture.
Fry the Chicken:
Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken in batches until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per batch. Drain on paper towels.
Make the Honey Garlic Sauce:
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, garlic, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes (if using). Bring to a simmer.
In a small bowl, mix water and cornstarch until smooth. Stir into the sauce and cook until thickened, about 2 minutes.
Toss and Serve:
Toss the fried chicken in the honey garlic sauce until well coated.
Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve immediately.
Notes:
Serve with steamed rice or stir-fried vegetables for a complete meal.
Adjust the amount of honey and soy sauce to suit your taste preferences.
