Ingredients:
1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
2 large onions, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp cornstarch
1/4 cup water
2 tbsp vegetable oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
In a bowl, mix the beef slices with soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large pan over medium-high heat.
Add the marinated beef to the wok, stir-frying until it’s almost cooked through. Remove and set aside.
In the same wok, add a bit more oil if needed and sauté the onions until they turn soft and golden.
Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
Return the beef to the wok, adding 1/4 cup of water. Stir everything together until the sauce thickens and the beef is fully cooked.
Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
