Ingredients:
– 1 pound thick-cut bacon, diced
– 1 large yellow onion, finely diced (about 1 ½ cups)
– 3 medium jalapeño peppers, seeded and diced (about 1 cup)
– 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
– ½ cup light brown sugar, packed
– ⅓ cup apple cider vinegar
– ¼ cup maple syrup
– 1 teaspoon chili powder
Instructions:
1. Cook Bacon: In a medium skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crispy.
2. Prepare Pan: Leave about ¼ cup of bacon grease in the pan.
3. Caramelize Onions & Peppers: Add diced onion and jalapeños to the pan.
4. Add Remaining Ingredients: Mix in garlic, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, maple syrup, chili powder, and cooked bacon.
5. Serve: Enjoy warm or cold.
