Homemade Apple Crumble

Ingredients:

5 large apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and sliced
¼ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Crumble Topping:
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ cup old-fashioned oats
½ cup brown sugar
½ teaspoon cinnamon
½ cup unsalted butter, melted

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
In a bowl, toss apple slices with granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Transfer to the prepared baking dish.
In another bowl, mix flour, oats, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Stir in melted butter until crumbly.
Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the apples.
Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
