Cream Cheese & Turkey Bacon Stuffed Doritos Chicken

Ingredients:

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese

6 slices cooked turkey bacon, crumbled

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

2 cups crushed Doritos (Nacho Cheese flavor)

2 eggs, beaten

1 cup flour

1 tablespoon milk

Oil for frying or baking spray (if baking)

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) if baking. If frying, heat oil in a deep skillet over medium heat.

2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese, crumbled turkey bacon, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well until fully incorporated.

3. Using a sharp knife, carefully cut a pocket into the side of each chicken breast, making sure not to cut all the way through.

4. Stuff each chicken breast with the cream cheese and turkey bacon mixture, ensuring the filling is evenly distributed. Seal the edges with toothpicks if necessary.

5. Set up three shallow bowls for breading. Place the flour in the first bowl, the beaten eggs mixed with milk in the second bowl, and the crushed Doritos in the third bowl.

6. Dredge each stuffed chicken breast in the flour, shaking off any excess.

7. Dip the floured chicken into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off.

8. Coat the chicken thoroughly with the crushed Doritos, pressing gently to adhere the crumbs.

9. If frying, carefully place the coated chicken in the hot oil and cook for about 5-6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). If baking, place the chicken on a greased baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until fully cooked.

10. Remove the chicken from the heat or oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Remove any toothpicks before slicing or serving.
