Chocolate Caramel Peanut Butter Pretzel Bars
Ingredients:
2 cups mini pretzels, crushed
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup creamy peanut butter, divided
1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
1 cup caramel candies, unwrapped
2 tbsp heavy cream
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions:
Prepare the Pretzel Layer:
In a medium bowl, combine the crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 1/2 cup of the peanut butter. Mix until fully incorporated.
Press this mixture evenly into the bottom of a lined 9×9-inch pan to form a firm crust.
Make the Peanut Butter Layer:
In a separate bowl, mix the remaining 1/2 cup peanut butter with the powdered sugar until smooth.
Spread this mixture evenly over the pretzel crust.
Prepare the Caramel Layer:
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the caramel candies and heavy cream. Microwave in 15-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth and melted.
Pour the caramel over the peanut butter layer, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
Add the Chocolate Topping:
Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave or over a double boiler until smooth.
Pour the melted chocolate over the caramel layer and spread it evenly.
Chill and Serve:
Place the pan in the refrigerator for about 1-2 hours, or until set.
Once firm, cut into squares and serve!
