Caramel Chocolate Crunch Bars
Ingredients:
1 sleeve buttery round crackers (like Ritz), crushed
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup toffee bits
Sea salt flakes, for topping
Directions:
Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
Spread the crushed crackers evenly in the bottom of the dish and set aside.
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter, then stir in brown sugar, granulated sugar, and heavy cream.
Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, stirring constantly for 4–5 minutes until thickened.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
Pour the caramel mixture over the cracker base and spread evenly.
Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the hot caramel. Let sit for 2–3 minutes until melted, then spread the chocolate into an even layer.
Sprinkle toffee bits and sea salt flakes on top.
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until fully set.
Cut into bars and enjoy!
