Parmesan Garlic Bacon Cheeseburger Lasagna
Ingredients:
For the meat filling:
1.5 lbs ground beef
1 cup cooked bacon, chopped
1 small onion, diced
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt & pepper to taste
2 cups marinara sauce
1/4 cup ketchup (optional, for a burger twist)
Cheese mixture:
1 cup ricotta cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan
1 egg
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
Other:
9 lasagna noodles, cooked
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
Cook the beef mixture:
In a skillet, sauté onion and garlic until soft. Add ground beef, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned. Stir in bacon, marinara sauce, and ketchup. Simmer 5 mins.
Mix the cheese filling:
Combine ricotta, Parmesan, egg, and Italian seasoning in a bowl.
Layer the lasagna:
In a greased baking dish:
Spread a thin layer of meat sauce.
Add 3 noodles.
Spread half the cheese mixture.
Sprinkle mozzarella + cheddar.
Add more meat sauce.
Repeat layers. Top with remaining meat, mozzarella, cheddar, and extra Parmesan.
Bake:
Cover with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25 mins. Uncover and bake another 10–15 mins until golden and bubbling.
Rest & serve:
Let rest 10–15 minutes before slicing. Garnish with chopped parsley or extra crumbled bacon.
Optional Add-ins:
Sliced pickles between layers for a burger bite
A drizzle of garlic butter on top after baking
