Loaded Bacon Cheeseburger Alfredo Pasta

Ingredients:

1 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 pound ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 pound pasta (penne, rotini, or your favorite shape)
1 (16 ounce) container Alfredo sauce
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup chopped green onions, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

1. Cook bacon until crispy. Remove from pan and set aside, reserving about 2 tablespoons of bacon grease.
2. In a large skillet or Dutch oven, brown ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease, leaving about 2 tablespoons in the pan.
3. Add chopped onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
4. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer, reduce heat to low, and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5. While the sauce simmers, cook pasta according to package directions. Drain pasta and set aside.
6. Stir the Alfredo sauce into the meat sauce.
7. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat.
8. Stir in the crumbled bacon, cheddar cheese, and mozzarella cheese. Continue to stir until the cheese is melted and the pasta is well coated.
9. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped green onions, if desired.
