Peanut Butter Dream Bars
Ingredients:
For the Crust:
24 peanut butter sandwich cookies (such as Nutter Butters), crushed
8 tablespoons (1 stick) butter, melted
For the Chocolate Pudding Layer:
1 ½ cups milk
1 package (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
For the Peanut Butter Cream Layer:
4 oz cream cheese, softened
½ cup powdered sugar
½ cup creamy peanut butter
8 oz Cool Whip, thawed
For the Topping:
½ cup milk chocolate chips
½ cup peanut butter chips
Directions:
1. Make the Crust:
In a bowl, mix crushed peanut butter sandwich cookies with melted butter until combined.
Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Place in the refrigerator while preparing the layers.
2. Prepare the Chocolate Pudding Layer:
In a bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix and milk until smooth and thickened.
Spread the pudding evenly over the chilled crust.
Place in the fridge to set while making the next layer.
3. Make the Peanut Butter Cream Layer:
In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and peanut butter until smooth.
Gently fold in Cool Whip until light and fluffy.
Spread over the chocolate pudding layer.
4. Add the Toppings:
Sprinkle milk chocolate chips and peanut butter chips evenly over the top.
5. Chill & Serve:
Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, for the best texture.
Slice into bars and serve chilled.
