Smoky BBQ Ribs

Ingredients:

For the Ribs:

2 racks baby back ribs
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
For the BBQ Sauce:

1 cup ketchup
¼ cup apple cider vinegar
¼ cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon black pepper

Directions:

Preheat oven to 275°F (135°C).
Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs. Rub both sides with olive oil, then coat with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne.
Wrap ribs in foil and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours until tender.
While the ribs bake, combine all BBQ sauce ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Preheat a grill to medium-high heat. Remove ribs from the oven and brush generously with BBQ sauce.
Grill for 5-7 minutes per side, caramelizing the sauce.
Remove from grill, let rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve.
