Crispy Honey Garlic Chicken Bites
Ingredients:
– 500g boneless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
– 1 cup all-purpose flour
– ½ cup cornstarch
– 1 teaspoon salt
– ½ teaspoon black pepper
– ½ teaspoon paprika
– 2 eggs
– 2 tablespoons water
– Oil for frying
– ¼ cup butter
– 4 cloves garlic, minced
– ⅓ cup honey
– 2 tablespoons soy sauce
– 1 tablespoon vinegar
– Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
– Sea salt flakes (optional, for garnish)
Directions:
1. In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, and paprika. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with water.
2. Dip each piece of chicken into the egg mixture, then coat it well with the flour mixture. Shake off any excess flour.
3. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, fry the chicken pieces in batches for about 5-6 minutes or until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
4. In a separate pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
5. Stir in honey, soy sauce, and vinegar, then let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
6. Toss the crispy chicken pieces into the honey garlic sauce and coat them evenly.
7. Transfer to a serving plate, garnish with fresh parsley and sea salt flakes if desired.
8. Serve immediately and enjoy!
