INGREDIENTS:
4 large russet potatoes, peeled and cubed
1/2 lb chopped turkey bacon
1/2 lb crumbled breakfast sausage
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup milk
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)
INSTRUCTIONS:
STEP 1: PREPARE THE POTATOES
– Boil Potatoes: Place the cubed potatoes in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and return to the pot.
– Mash Potatoes: Add the butter, milk, sour cream, salt, and pepper to the potatoes. Mash until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
STEP 2: COOK THE MEAT AND ONION
– Cook Bacon: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
