Best Cornbread Recipe

INGREDIENTS

• 1 cup all-purpose flour
• 1 cup cornmeal
• ⅔ cup white sugar
• 3 ½ teaspoon baking powder
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 whole egg
• 1 cup milk
• ⅓ cup vegetable oil

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spray a 9 inch round cake pan, a 9 inch skillet, or 12 muffin cups.
2. Combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt and baking powder.
3. Stir in egg, milk and oil until well combined.
4. Pour into pan. Bake for about 20-25 minutes for cake pan or skillet, or 15 minutes for muffins. A toothpick inserted to the center should come out clean.
5. Remove from oven and serve with butter and/or honey.
