Creamy Chicken Alfredo Casserole
Ingredients:
12 oz penne or rotini pasta
2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
3 cups Alfredo sauce (store-bought or homemade)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup steamed broccoli florets (optional)
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)
1 tablespoon unsalted butter (optional, for breadcrumbs)
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, chicken, Alfredo sauce, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, broccoli (if using), garlic powder, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until evenly combined.
Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
If using breadcrumbs, melt the butter and mix it with the breadcrumbs, then sprinkle evenly over the casserole.
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake uncovered for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
Let the casserole cool for 5 minutes before serving.
