Crispy Chicken Breasts with Creamy Sauce
If you’re craving a comforting, flavorful meal, this crispy chicken with a rich and creamy sauce will surely hit the spot!
Ingredients:
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 cup breadcrumbs (panko works best)
1/2 cup flour
2 large eggs
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil for frying
For the sauce:
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
Prepare the chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. In three separate bowls, place flour, beaten eggs, and a mixture of breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.
Coat the chicken: Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, dip in the egg wash, and then coat with the breadcrumb mixture. Press lightly to ensure the breadcrumbs stick.
Fry the chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Make the sauce: In the same skillet, add the chicken broth and bring it to a simmer. Stir in the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper.
Serve: Pour the creamy sauce over the crispy chicken breasts. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with your favorite side dish.
Enjoy this crispy, creamy chicken goodness with a side of mashed potatoes, pasta, or a fresh salad!
