Ingredients:
1 lb Italian sausage, removed from casing
1 cup beer (lager or ale)
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
Tortilla chips or pretzels, for serving
Instructions:
Cook the Sausage:
Brown the sausage in a skillet, breaking it into crumbles. Drain excess fat and set aside.
Prepare the Cheese Mixture:
In a saucepan, heat the beer over medium heat. Gradually whisk in the cream cheese until smooth.
Add the cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses, stirring until melted and smooth.
Combine:
Stir in the milk, flour, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Continue to cook until the mixture thickens.
Add Sausage and Serve:
Stir in the cooked sausage. Serve the dip warm with tortilla chips or pretzels.
