Perfectly crispy and cheesy, with bacon on top—pure indulgence!
Ingredients:
4 large russet potatoes
6 strips of bacon
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons chopped green onions
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips, resembling fries. Soak the potato strips in cold water for 30 minutes, then drain and pat dry with a paper towel.
Spread the potato strips in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and season with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fries are crispy and golden brown.
While the fries are baking, cook the bacon strips in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Drain on paper towels and crumble into small pieces.
Remove the fries from the oven and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese and grated Parmesan cheese. Return to the oven for 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with crumbled bacon and chopped green onions.
Serve hot with a dollop of sour cream and garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.
