Ingredients:
1 pound ziti pasta
2 cups marinara sauce
1 pound ground beef
2 cups ricotta cheese
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 onion, diced
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh basil for garnish
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and onion, cooking until softened.
Add the ground beef to the skillet, cooking until browned. Drain excess fat.
Stir in marinara sauce, salt, and pepper. Let the sauce simmer for 10 minutes.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ziti, ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella, and half of the Parmesan cheese. Mix well.
Pour half of the pasta mixture into a baking dish. Spread half of the meat sauce on top. Repeat with the remaining pasta and sauce.
Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot.
