Shrimp Chowder Recipe

Ingredients:

1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
4 cups chicken broth
2 cups diced potatoes
1 cup diced celery
1 cup diced carrots
1 cup diced onions
2 cups corn kernels
1 cup heavy cream
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp flour
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onions, celery, and carrots, and sauté until soft.
Sprinkle the flour over the vegetables and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Slowly add the chicken broth, stirring until the mixture is smooth.
Add the potatoes and corn, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 5 minutes.
Stir in the heavy cream, salt, and pepper. Heat through, but do not boil.
