Ingredients:

1/2 cup rice vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 cup water
Pineapple chunks (optional)

Directions:

In a small saucepan, combine rice vinegar, brown sugar, ketchup, and soy sauce. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring continuously.
In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth.
Gradually add the cornstarch mixture to the saucepan, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
If using, add pineapple chunks and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy with your favorite dishes!
