Ingredients:
– 8 tbsp butter
– 2 1/4 cups granulated sugar, divided
– 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 3/4 cup milk
– 6 tbsp cocoa powder
– 2 cups boiling water
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Melt butter in a 9×13 baking dish.
2. Mix 1 1/4 cups sugar, flour, vanilla, and milk. Pour over melted butter (do not stir).
3. Mix cocoa and remaining sugar. Sprinkle over batter (do not stir).
4. Pour boiling water over the top (do not stir).
5. Bake for 40-45 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream.
